NEET counselling 2020 – The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will start NEET UG counselling 2020 . NEET 2020 Counselling and seat allotment for MBBS/ BDS seats under 15% All India Quota (Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including BHU & AMU ) will be managed by the MCC from  1st Week of October  (Tentative). However, State level counselling for 85% seats will be organized separately by the respective state authorities.

Note: NEET counselling 2020 for 15% quota seats will be conducted by DGHS and Remaining 85% quota seats will be managed by State Government.

Important Note: Those candidates  who do not willing to take admission after the second round of NEET UG counselling , will get their registration fee refund. In order to take a refund, students will have to report to their allotted college and need to inform that they wish to forfeit their seats. Or Due to COVID-19 Students can contact the Colleges /University authorities at their helpline number for further assistance related to Refund.

NEET 2020 Counselling Procedure

After the declaration of the result, the online NEET counseling 2020 process will start. It will be done in 3 rounds, in which the last one will be the  MOP-UP Round . To participate in the online counseling process, first qualified candidates have to register and have to fill the online choices for college and course.

Procedure For NEET Counselling and seat allotment for MBBS/ BDS seats under 15% All India Quota (Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including BHU & AMU )  will be done by MCC.   3. On the left side of that page you will find   ‘New Registration’ link , then click on it to enter required * details as asked
  4. Then , new login credentials will be generated ( While registration try to enter correct details like phone number and e-mail id for further process ) 
  5. Then login with your ” Roll Number ” and ” Password” 

Things to remember while doing NEET Counselling Registration –

  • Candidate must remember login Password , and all care must be taken to protect the password
  • Candidates must take the printout of the final locked choices for your references.
  • For security reasons, after finishing your work, kindly  LOGOUT
  • Candidates are advised to fill their choice carefully

NEET Counselling Fee Payment

After successful registration, students  are asked to submit counselling fee. The fee can be paid through an online medium like Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Candidates can check the NEET counselling fee 2020 in the table given below-

NEET counselling 2020 – Seat matrix

DHGS will publish the seat matrix for NEET 2020  before the commencement of each round. The seat matrix will be released separately for MBBS, BDS, AIQ seats in Central University, Deemed University and seats offered in ESIC institutes.

 Required Documents for neet Counselling

The following documents will be required during the Counselling. Candidates must carry all the original documents along with attested photocopies at the time of admission.

  • NEET Admit Card
  • NEET 2020 Result/Rank Letter
  • Class X Certificate and Marksheet
  • Class XII Certificate and Marksheet
  • 8 passport sized photographs (Same as the one affixed on the application form)
  • NEET Seat Allotment letter
  • Proof of Identity (Aadhar card/PAN card/Passport/ Driving License)
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)


State level NEET UG  Counselling

The remaining 85% seats in government medical colleges, 100% seats offered in Deemed Universities and Private medical colleges will be filled by State Mbbs counselling conducted by respective state counselling authority. The state counselling authority will release their own NEET merit list, counselling schedule, application form and seat allotment list.

If a candidate is allotted a seat in round one but do not join the college then will s/he be considered eligible for the next round?

If a candidate is allotted a seat in the round one of NTA NEET counselling  then s/he will be given a choice to join the allotted college or not. Candidates who will not report or join the allotted college will also be considered eligible for round two.
