Direct MBBS admission in MAHARASHTRA:
- There are around 44 medical colleges in Maharashtra. All of these are recognized by the MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA (MCI).
- Among these around 28 are private colleges. They provide direct MBBS admission.
- In total around 5840 seats are available each for admission across various universities.
- It is to kept in mind that a candidate who is a bonafide resident of the state of Maharashtra can apply for this direct admission only.
- Direct MBBS admission is provided via the Management quota in private and deemed universities.
- In order to become eligible for registering in management quota , a candidate must qualify the national level exam NEET.
- Also another pre- requisite is 50% of aggregate marks for general candidates and 40% for the ST/SC/OBC candidates in 12th boards examination in PCB(physics,chemistry and biology) and English or any equivalent examination.

Steps in registering under management quota:
- Candidate has to register separately for the management quota seat.
- After registration, the candidates have to do their document verification
- Once NEET results 2020 are declared, the Maharashtra Government will prepare the state merit list as per the UG NEET scores.
- Candidates will then fill up their choice as per preference and lock them in time.
- Once final college is declared, candidates will have to report to respective allotted colleges.
