DU Admission 2020 Facts
- Admission from for admission in Delhi University will be available from April 15, 2020.
- The application process for UG, PG courses commences in the month of May every year.
- Candidates who have passed the higher secondary examination (Class 12) from a recognized board of education can apply to UG courses.
- Final admission to merit-based UG courses involves screening of qualifying marks.
- For several UG courses such as B.Tech, BMS, BBA-FIA etc., candidates have to appear for the university entrance test.
- Those seeking admission to PG courses must possess a bachelors degree in the relevant discipline with minimum required aggregate.
- Registration for the UG, PG courses can be done through common registration portal available at the official DU website.
Delhi University also offers correspondence courses at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level. School of Open Learning (SOL), DU has been established in order to serve the purpose of distance education.
Note: Apart from the general cutoff list for students of boards recognized by DU, students from schools that are not accredited with AIU, UGC or MHRD will be considered for admission in University of Delhi on the basis of separate merit list. University has a unique grade point conversion system to serve this purpose.

Admission to UG merit-based courses such as BA, B.Sc and B.Com commence in the month of May every year. Candidates are shortlisted for admission on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination. To apply for UG courses, candidates should register online by logging on to admissions portal available at the official DU website. Upon successful registration, students can choose the desired course and submit the required fees.

Candidates seeking admission to such UG courses can apply through the common Web Portal for centralized registration and submit the required fees through available online payment modes.

The Application process for entrance-based UG courses will commences in the second week of May and forms are available until the first week of June. Candidates can download their respective Admit Card for the entrance examination from the UG admission portal and take its print-out for future use
- In the case of BMS, BBA-FIA and BA (Economics) admission, the weightage of Joint Admission Test (JAT) and GD/PI is 85% and 15% respectively.
- For B. Tech. (IT&M) and BA (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences admissions, a 2 hour MCQ based entrance test is conducted by the university. The marking pattern will be as specified by the university.
- Admission of candidates to B.Sc. (P.E., H.E. & S) is done based on marks scored in the written examination and other tests (Fitness Test, Playing Ability Test), conducted by Delhi University.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to B.Ed and BA (Hons) MMMC programme based on their performance in the university entrance test
