Through NEET, 15% of the total seats in government colleges (except Jammu and Kashmir) are reserved for All India Quota seats(mcc.nic.in ), which is filled by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
While the MBBS admission to 85% state quota seats is granted by respective state counselling authorities. Admissions for Deemed University MBBS programmes is done at an all India level by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
