UGC NET 2021 exam is held every year for those students who want to go for higher education after post-graduation that is Ph.D. The examination is a national level exam which will be held in the month of June 2021 and December 2021. The examination is conducted by National Testing Agency every year. Through this exam, students get selected for Junior Research Fellowship which is commonly known as JRF and Assistant Professor.
Those candidates who will be selected for the fellowship can complete their Ph.D. from the Universities and are also considered for the recruitment of professors in different universities. The application process for June 2021 will start in the month of March 2021 and for December 2021 exam it will commence in the month of September 2021.

UGC NET 2021 Exam Date (June Session)
The notification for the June session will release in February 2021. The online application form will be available online in March 2021 and the last date to apply will lie in the third week of April 2021. The correction window will open in April 2021. The admit card will be available in the third week of May 2021. The exam will happen in the 3rd to 4th week of June 2021. The answer key will release in June 2021 and the announcement of results will happen in the first week of July 2021.

UGC NET Exam Date December 2021
The UGC NET exam date December 2021 exam notification will be out in August 2021 and the online application will be available in the first week of September 2021. The last date to apply online will be the last week of September 2021. The correction window will open in the 3rd to 4th week of October 2021.
The admit card will be available in the third week of November 2021. The exam will happen in the 2nd to 3rd week of December 2021. The answer key will release in December 2021. The result will be announced in the second week of January 2022.
UGC NET Application Fee
The application fee for the Unreserved/General category is Rs 1000. The application fee for General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates will be Rs 500. The application fee for ST/SC/PWD/Transgender candidates will be Rs 250.
UGC NET Application Form
The application form will be available online. The candidates will have to register with their mail id and mobile number. After registration, the application number will be generated. Students will have to fill the online application form after registration. They will have to upload the signature and passport size photograph in the prescribed format. The application fee payment will be done online.
UGC NET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have done post-graduation from a UGC recognized University or Institution.
Candidates applying must have got at least 55 percent marks in their Master’s Degree. This percentage is 50 percent for ST/SC/OBC (NCL)/PWD/Transgender category candidates)
Students in the last year of their post-graduation can also apply.

UGC NET 2021 Age Limit
For UGC NET there is no age limit and for JRF the applying candidate should not be more than 30 years of age as of 1st December 2021.
Age relaxation- the reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Transgender and women will be given age relaxation up to 5 years. 5 years of relaxation will be given to candidates with research experience or those who worked for the armed forces. 3 years of relaxation is there for candidates who have done their LLM.
UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021
The exam will be held online. There will be two papers first one on Teaching and research aptitude. The second paper will be on the subject from which the candidate has completed the post-graduation. The time duration for the exam is 3 hours and there will be no negative marking in the exam. A total of 150 questions will be there in the exam 50 questions from paper 1 and 100 questions from paper 2. The examination will be of 300 marks.
