IMU CET 2020 Indian Maritime University (IMU ) is the body responsible for conducting the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test – 2020 exam and declaration of the IMU CET Result . It’s a basically the national level entrance exam and the selected applicants will get admission in various UG and PG courses offered by various IMU campuses .
Note : Candidates must make themselves satisfied that they are eligible for admission. No Fee (non-refundable category) will be refunded on account of medical ineligibility.

IMU CET 2020 Application Form
The ‘Online Application Form’ will be accepted after the following steps are completed:-
1. Browse IMU web site https://www.imu.edu.in/ .
2. After that Select ‘Online Application’
3. Go through the Instructions to fill up the form.
4. Fill up ‘Online Application Form’ and click on the submit button.
5. Upload Photographs, Signature & 10th Mark sheet/Certificate to complete the application process.
Note: Students must fill all the details in the form carefully as no modification will be allowed later.

- Candidates should be at least 17 years of age and should not exceed 25 years of age.
- 10+2 or equivalent (PCM – 60% average and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th or 12th Examination.)
- Candidates applying in marine courses would be required to produce the medical fitness certified by Doctors approved by Director General of Shipping.
Note :Note: In case of SC/ST candidates there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks, it will not apply to English marks.
Eligibility for Lateral Entry
Candidates with at least 55% marks overall in:
3-years Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering Or 4-years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education
And
A minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/12th/Diploma Examination. The candidate should have completed the diploma within its stipulated duration of 3 years.
Eye Sight
For the above 4 Marine Programmes, the Eye Sight requirements are specified by the Directorate General of Shipping. All the candidates must meet these requirements and will have to produce certificate of eye sight from a Doctor approved by Director General of Shipping.
Note: Candidates seeking admission to the Non-Marine Programmes – B. Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering), BBA (Logistics, Retailing and eCommerce) and B.Sc (Ship Building & Repair) degree courses will have to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

IMU Fee Structure *
Fees Payable by Students for various Programmes in IMU.
Admission Registration Fee of Rs. 10,000/- (Non-refundable) is charged once at the time of admissions from all candidates admitted either to IMU Campus or Affiliated Institute.
Programme Fee of Rs. 25,000/- (Non-refundable) has to be paid at the time of Admission to confirm the seat either in IMU Campus or at the respective Affiliated Institute.
First Semester Fees and Caution Deposit – Candidates seeking admission to IMU Campuses will be required to pay the First Semester Fees (in full) and Caution Deposit of Rs. 20,000/- at the time of Certificate Verification, failing which the Candidate will be deemed to be a drop out.
Note: Caution Deposit will be refundable at the end of the Programme subject to deductions (if any, to cater for recovery due to individual responsible for damages).
IMU CET 2020 Exam Pattern
The information related to the exam pattern is listed below :
- Exam mode: IMU CET 2020 will be held only through Online (computer-based) mode.
- Questions Type: The questions in the test will be of MCQ’s type.
- Some questions: There will be a total of 200 questions for UG and 120 questions for PG test.
- Time: 3 hours will be given to complete the paper.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be allotted for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for the wrong answer.
IMU CET 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for IMU CET 2020 can be downloaded from the official website of the board. The candidates need to enter their registration number and password in order to download their admit card.
IMU CET 2020 Result
The students who will appear for the IMU CET exam can check the result from the official website. It is expected that the result will be announced in the month of May 2020.
IMU CET 2020 Counselling
Soon after the declaration of result, the schedule for counselling will be updated on the official website. Various campuses will conduct their counselling separately. Candidates will have to bring their original qualification documents with physical fitness certificate.
