CBSE Merit Scholarship For Single Girl Child 2020: Applications have been invited by the Central Board Of Secondary Education for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for girl. This scholarship is for single girl children who have qualified for their 12th exam in the year 2020. The motive of the scholarship is to financially assist the single girl students to do their higher studies. This will help them to do their studies in class 11 and 12. Those girls who will be shortlisted for the fellowship will get INR 500 per month for a maximum period of two months.

The last date to fill the form is 10 December 2020. Students are advised to fill the forms as soon as possible as the last date is arriving very soon.
What is the eligibility to fill the forms of the CBSE Merit scholarship?
The eligibility to fill the forms of the scholarship is given below. Students who are filling this form must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria otherwise their forms will get rejected. - The applicant must be a single girl child of her parents
- The applicant must have passed the CBSE class 10 examination this year that is in 2020. The percentage of the applicant must be 60 percent and above.
- The applicant must pursue studies in Class 11 and 12 in CBSE Board affiliated school. The tuition fee must not exceed INR 1500.

What is the benefit of this scholarship?
The benefit of the scholarship is given below. Those applicants who will get shortlisted for the scholarship will receive the following benefits.
The shortlisted brilliant girl students will get an amount of INR 500 which will be sent to them through ECS/NEFT.
The online application form submission deadline (fresh and renewal) is 10th December 2020. The last date for submission of a hard copy application (renewal only) is 28 December 2020.
What are the terms and conditions?
The scholarship given to the single girl child shall be renewed for one year after she will complete her class 11th. The renewal will also be based on the promotion to the next class provided the shortlisted applicant gets 50 percent and above in the exam after which she will be promoted to another class.
Prior approval of the CBSE board shall be taken for renewal or continuation of the scholarship in case the candidate gives up the chosen course of study or if she changes her school.
Once the scholarship gets canceled it will not be renewed in any case. In such a case, the final authority will rest in the hands of the Chairman of the Board.
Any resultant dispute arising out of this scholarship will be taken by the court located in New Delhi.
The scholarship is also for NRI applicants of the board. The tuition fee of the NRIs has been fixed as a maximum of INR 6000 per month.
