The online VIT University counselling will be accessible by students through their login credentials which have already been mailed to their registered emails. A registration fee of Rs. 5000 has to be paid to participate in the VITEEE counselling.

VITEEE Admission Categories
VIT admissions follow four categories – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th. As you move from a lower numbered category to a higher numbered one, your chances of landing a good department improve. The catch being that your admission fee goes up by 1 lac INR for a category jump. So, if your rank is 12000 you can either land a CSE seat at VIT Chennai through 1st category or land the CSE department at VIT Vellore through 2nd category, of course by paying a higher fees.

VIT University Fees
The fee structure of VIT Vellore as of 2019 was :
Mess charges:
- Special mess-51,000 pa.
- North Indian- 48,000 pa.
- South Indian- around 45,000 pa.
Hostel Rooms :
Rooms are divided into AC and NON AC from 35k to 77k bottom to top.
- Double bedded
- Three bedded
- Four bedded
- Six bedded
Coming to the tution fee,
The tution fee is category wise so the category in which you get admissions matters:
- Category 1—1.98 lakh pa.
- Category 2—3.07 lakh pa.
- Category 3—4.10 lakh pa.
- Category 4–4.95 lakh pa.
and so on .
Classes will start as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Ministry of Education (MoE) guidelines.
