UP CATET 2021 : UP Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET) is an entrance exam organised to provide admission to Uttar Pradesh domicile candidates in different UG and PG programmes offered at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut; Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj, Faridabad; Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda. The UPCATET is a state-level entrance exam conducted anually.

UPCATET Eligibility Criteria

BSc (Honours) Agriculture/ BSc (Honours) Horticulture/ BSc (Honours) Forestry: One should have cleared Class XII with Agricultural Science/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) subject.
Bachelor in Fisheries Science (BFSc): one should have cleared Class XII with Agricultural Science/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/ Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) subject.
BSc (Honours) Home Science: one should have cleared Class XII in Arts stream with Home Science/ PCB/ PCM/ PCMB/ Agricultural Science subject. Only female candidates can opt for this course.

Age limit: As of December 31, 2021, candidates should be more than 16 years and less than 22 years in age. However, for the BVSc&H course, one should be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years in age as on December 31, 2021.

Note; candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category have an age relaxation of five years for any course.

UPCATET 2021 Admission Process

Step 1: Fill UPCATET Application Form

For UPCATET 2021 registrations, one can fill the application form in the online mode on the official website of the exam. For offline applications, candidates can get their forms from the administrative offices of any participating university.

Before filling the application form candidates need to pay UPCATET 2021 application fee. One can pay the application fee either in the online mode (via net banking/ debit card) or in the offline mode (via SBI challan payable at any branch of SBI).

Step 2: Download UPCATET Admit Card

One can download their UPCATET 2021 admit card from the official website of the exam. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter details such as their registration number/ full name and course. UPCATET 2021 admit card will appear on the screen.

Step 3: Appear for UPCATET

Now candidated have to appear for UPCATET exam at the allotted exam centre. In the exam, candidates will be asked 200 objective questions of 600 marks. The duration will be three hours.

Step 4: Check UPCATET Result

To check UPCATET result, one need to enter their roll number/ registration number, date of birth, and course. UPCATET result appears on the screen.

It may be noted that minimum cutoff percentage to qualify the exam is 20% (for General category) and 10% (for SC/ ST category).

Step 5: Appear for UPCATET Counselling

Ones qualifying in the UPCATET exam are called for the counselling round as per merit. In the UPCATET 2021 counselling session, candidates are allotted seats in their respective courses and universities.

Q1 Is UPCATET conducted online or offline?

Ans The UPCATET is conducted in offline mode (pen & paper test).

Ans The UPCATET exam duration is of three hours.

Q3 Is there a negative marking in UPCATET?

Ans Yes, for each incorrect answer one mark will be deducted. For every right answer, three marks will be awarded.
