NIOS Admission 2020 National Institute of Open Schooling has started NIOS 10th, 12th admissions for Block 2 (October 2020 exams). The last date for NIOS 10th and 12th admission is January 31, 2020. But, students will be able to apply for NIOS admission 2020 until March 15 with late fee charges. NIOS is providing open schooling at national as well as the global level and sharing resources and study material to the students to score good marks .
The exams For BLOCK I will be conducted in April – May and the second (For BLOCK II) during October – November. The Students have the liberty to appear for either in April – May or October – November. The result for NIOS will be declared after 60 days of the examination.
NIOS Admission 2020 Dates
NIOS conducts class 10 and 12 admissions two times in a year. Students can check the following tables to know the NIOS admission last dates for block 1 and block 2 exams.

NIOS Admission 2020 Application Form:
All the eligible candidates can apply for the NIOS 2020-21 Admission Form through online mode. In order to fill the form correctly follows the provided rules below.
- All eligible candidates need to first visit the official site of NIOS i.e. https://sdmis.nios.ac.in/ .
- Then click on “Register”
- Further, read the instruction mentioned in page carefully before applying then click on “proceed”
- Select the State and then Identity type. Enter the id number of selected Identity types.
- After that select the Course(Secondary for class 10 & Senior Secondary for class 12) and click on Submit to continue.
- Fill up all the information in the form correctly like Basic Details, address, other information.
- An OTP will be generated and sent to mobile as well as on email addresses.
- Validate the OTP sent.
- Fill the rest details carefully.
- Make the payment of application fee in online mode or by using the demand draft.
- Submit the form.
- Take a printout of the filled application form.
NIOS Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Secondary: The minimum age to take admission in the Secondary Course is 14 years as on 31st January 2019 (born on or before 31/01/2005) |
A learner who has passed class VIII and has valid proof of attaining 14 years of age can apply for registration to the Secondary Course. |
A learner giving a self-certificate “I have studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course” is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course. |
A learner who had studied at the secondary level can also seek admission in NIOS either to complete his course or to improve his performance. |
Sr. Secondary: The minimum age to take admission in the Senior Secondary Course is 15 years as on 31st January 2019 (born on or before 31/01/2004) |
In order to take admission in the Senior Secondary course, the learner must have passed the Secondary course from a recognised Board. |

The student applying for NIOS 2020 admission will have to upload the scanned copy of documents. These documents are considered as proof of eligibility for NIOS 10th or 12th admission.

NIOS 2020 Admit Card:
The admit card of NIOS Exam 2020 is available through online mode. Candidates can download it from the official site. Candidates have to enter their 11/12 digit registration number and date of birth. Admit card contains details like candidates name, roll number, exam centre, exam schedule, etc. Admit card is a necessary document, without which a candidate is not allowed to sit for the examination.
NIOS Result:
National Institute of Open Schooling announces the result of the examination by sixth or seventh weeks of completion of the final paper. Candidates can check their results by going to the official website of NIOS i.e. http://www.nios.ac.in.
