The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) organises the Course on Computer Concepts (CCC). It conducts an entrance examination for the course throughout the year except for the month of January and July.
The CCC course is designed to offer computer knowledge to professionals and students. The course consists of theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge of software and packages. The duration of the course is 80 hours (32 hours Theory + 48 hours Practical). After completing the course, candidates can start their career as a Data Entry Operator, Computer Operator, or Social Media Operator.
This course is designed to aim at imparting a basic level IT Literacy programming for the common people. This programme has been conceived with an idea of giving an opportunity to the common people to attain computer literacy thereby contributing to increased and speedy PC penetration in different aspects of life.
Who can conduct the course: The education and training for CCC shall be imparted at the institutions specifically authorized by NIELIT for conducting CCC. In addition, the students can study the course on self-learning mode and can apply as a direct candidate for appearing in the CCC examination conducted by NIELIT.

NIELIT CCC Eligibility:
- Applicants sponsored by NIELIT approved Institutes permitted to conduct CCC Course – irrespective of any educational qualifications;
- Students sponsored by Government recognized Schools/Colleges having obtained an Unique Identity number from NIELIT for conducting CCC – irrespective of any educational qualifications; and
- Direct Applicants (without essentially undergoing the Accredited Course or without being sponsored by a Govt. recognised School/College) -irrespective of any educational qualification;

NIELIT CCC Exam 2021 Application Process
Things to be kept ready before applying ;
- Valid Email ID of the student. Email ID is required for communications and queries during the exam.
- Valid mobile number of the student.
- Scanned images of the latest passport size photograph, signature, and Left Thumb Impression. All the images must be in .JPEG format. The size of the scanned images must not be more than 50 KB each.
Steps to Fill the CCC Exam Application Form
- Visit the official website – https://student.nielit.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
- Select the link ‘Course on Computer Concepts (CCC)’
- Complete the application form with all the details (Personal details, contact details, address details, educational details, details about the examination cycle, etc)
- Upload the scanned images.
- You will see a preview of the complete form before final submission. One can edit the details if they are not correct and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ button. Please note that after final submission, there will be no changes made in the application form.
- Make a payment of the application fee. The application fee for the CCC exam is ₹ 500 + GST as applicable on the date of form submission.

FAQ’S
Ans The candidate/institute make the payment through the following modes : –
i) Online (Credit/ Debit card/ Netbanking)
ii) NEFT
iii) CSC-SPV
Ans 50% marks are the minimum marks required.
Ans The examination of CCC comprise of 100 objective type questions of 1 mark each, and the candidate is required to attempt the 100 questions in 90 minutes. There is no negative marking.
Ans Normally, the exam centres allotted to candidates is according to his/her centre choice (city) filled by the candidate. NIELIT have right to allot the other exam centre that has not filled by candidate.
Ans Under normal circumstances, the result will be declared after 15 days from the completion of examination cycle.
