GATE 2022; Notification of the exam will be out by the conducting authority in the month of July. GATE 2022 application form will be made available in the third week of September 2021.
There are over 650 centres present where students can appear for GATE Exam in India. For some years, the GATE exam has been conducted for International Students as well like, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates (UAE). GATE 2022 results will be declared in the third week of March 2022.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE Exam) is an online Test (CBT) conducted every year for admission to postgraduate engineering (ME/MTech) and research programmes. The entrance exam is jointly conducted by either of the Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore), IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee on a rotational basis.

GATE 2022 Application Process
- The complete process of application form registration is online.Â
- The application process is divided into different steps starting with registration.
- Interested candidates must carefully fill the application form providing all details.
- Then candidates must upload all the necessary documents as mentioned in the form.
- After the form fill up, they will be directed to the payments page. The application fee payment will be done online. The payment can be done using credit/debit card or net banking. Application fee for general category is Rs 1500 and for reserved and women candidates Rs 750.
- It is advised to take print out of application form for future reference.
GATE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
- As per the new criteria, the minimum qualification required for candidates is 10+2+3 i.e. students studying in the third year of their UG course can appear for the entrance test
- Earlier, applicants were allowed to apply for only one subject/paper. However now they can choose between various courses and subjects.
- There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the GATE Examination.
- Candidates passed Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Arts/ Commerce or Post Graduation in relevant discipline are also considered as eligible applicants
- There is no prescribed attempt limit, candidates who match all the eligibility criteria can apply for the same as many time as they want.
GATE 2022 Eligibility Criteria for International Students
International Candidates who are aspiring for GATE 2022, should match the following criteria:
- Must have completed or in the final year of their bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or
- Must have completed or in the final year or in the pre-final year of their Post Graduate degree in any relevant science subject
GATE 2022 Syllabus
GATE 2022 syllabus is yet to be released by the exam organizing authority. It is expected that the syllabus will be based on the last year. Aspirants must be aware of the GATE syllabus to prepare well for the exam.Â
GATE Syllabus varies as per the subjects chosen by a candidate. The syllabus of the General Aptitude (GA) section remains common for all the papers. This section of General Aptitude comprises 15% marks, whereas 85% of marks would be comprised by the core subjects.
