Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has announced the postponement of Departmental and Competitive examinations which was scheduled to be conducted in the month of May 2021, due to the worsening of COVID-19 pandemic.
New dates for the conduction of the above examinations with atleast-15 days of prior notice shall be notified according to the official notification.
As per the notice, the postponed departmental examinations include — Revenue Service (Executive, Labour Inspector/ Labour Officer, Excise and Commercial Taxes Part-I, Part-II and Part-III, Statistical Officer, Jr Statistical Asst, Subordinate Accounts Course Part-II, Combined Competitive Services (Probationers), and Accounts Clerk Course (ACC).
Earlier, JKPSC notified for 45 vacancies for various posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil)/ Assistant Research Officer/ Deputy Research Officer in Public Works Dept, and Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Jal Shakti Dept.
The application process ended on May 7 and the written exam with objective type multiple choice questions is expected to be conducted on June 13. The examination will be taking place in Srinagar and Jammu center’s.

Ans Eligible candidates can apply for the posts through the official site of JKPSC on jkpsc.nic.in. The registration process will begin on April 8 and will end on May 7, 2021. This recruitment drive will fill up 45 posts in the organization.
Ans Eligible candidates are required to apply online through JKPSC official website (www.jkpsc.nic.in). The candidates are first required to register “One Time Registration”. The last date for filling of online application is 12/04/2021.
Ans The only difference is that KAS is state administrative post while IAS is Central Administrative post. … IAS is all India examination and any eligible candidate can take the examination while KAS is state administrative examination hence, only eligible candidates from that particular state can take the examination.
Ans Candidates must have graduation degree to apply for JKPSC KAS exam.
