Maharashtra MBBS/ BDS Admission 2021 will be done on the basis of Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2021.Maharashtra has many famous government and private institutions for pursuing higher education in the field of medical science. Through Maharashtra NEET admission, 9,000 MBBS and 3,526 BDS seats in the state will be filled.
Maharashtra MBBS/ BDS Admission 2021
Maharashtra MBBS admission will be conducted on the basis of NEET 2021. To apply for admission, candidates will have to fill the Maharashtra MBBS application form 2021. As per the eligibility criteria, NEET qualified candidates belonging to Maharashtra domicile are eligible for Maharashtra MBBS/BDS 2021 admission.
Maharashtra MBBS Admission Procedure
Admission into the MBBS and BDS courses is granted on the basis of NEET exam. It is a national level entrance test which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Also, for admission into various renowned medical institutions like JIPMER and AIIMS, NEET Scores will be considered.
Maharashtra MBBS Admission 2021 Eligibility
- Candidate should be India citizen.
- OCI candidates can also apply.
- The lower age limit to apply is 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.
- The upper age limit is 25 years and 30 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Candidates should clear the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from any recognized board with PCB and English subject.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The qualifying examination should be passed with 50% minimum marks (40% for reserve category candidates).

Selection Procedure
It is necessary for the candidates to qualify NEET entrance exam to be eligible for admission in MBBS/BDS programmes. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) & Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) are the counsel conducting authorities for admission to 15% all India quota seats. State colleges of Maharashtra conduct their own counselling for the rest of 85% quota seats.
Seat allotment will be carried out on the basis of candidates marks obtained in the entrance test. Candidates have to fill the preference of colleges in which they are looking for admission. With the provisional seat allotment letter candidates can get admission into the allotted college.
