NEET 2021: National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised NEET 2021 exam pattern. As per the earlier exam pattern, there were 180 Multiple Choice Questions each with three incorrect and one correct answer out of which 45 questions were for physics, 45 for chemistry, and 90 for biology (botany & zoology) to be answered specifically on an OMR sheet with a ballpoint pen.
As per the new NEET 2021 exam pattern, each of the three subjects i.e. physics, chemistry, and biology will comprise of two sections- Section A and Section B. Section A of the exam will be compulsory for all the medical entrance candidates to solve. Section B will have 15 questions out of which the candidates have the choice to solve any 10 questions of their choice. Thus, the total number of questions and time utilization will remain the same.

As far as the marking scheme is concerned it will remain the same as all the previous years; each correct answer will be rewarded four marks while for every incorrect question 1 mark is deducted. No mark will be deducted if the question is not answered. Also, questions that have more than one marking will be considered incorrect and one mark will be deducted for the same.

NEET 2021 subject wise question distribution
On their official information bulletin; NTA said that; “To rationalize the decision of reduction in the syllabus by various school education boards, the NTA has taken the decision to provide choice in Section “B” for each of the 4 (four) subjects.”
NEET is the only medical entrance exam in the country for admission in medical and allied programs. The exam will be held on 12 September 2021 in an offline mode across the country. The registration for the same has been started from 13 July 2021.
