Normalisation of Marks in IBPS PO Exam
The normalisation is the process followed by IBPS to evaluate the performance of candidates based on the difficuly level. The exam is often conducted in multiple shifts. The sectional and overall difficulty of topics varies in each slot. The questions may be easier in one slot while it might be difficult in the other. For evaluation, IBPS normalises the marks obtained by candidates in different shifts of exam. The normalisation is done using the equi-percentile method.
