TN NEET Counselling 2021: NEET Counselling Tamil Nadu 2021 will be organized by Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu in an offline mode on the basis of NEET 2021. By Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS counselling, admission to 8,000 MBBS and 2,873 BDS seats in the state will be granted. To participate in Tamil Nadu MBBS 2021 counselling students will have to fill the online application form.
Note; only candidates who will qualify the NEET exam will be eligible for admission through Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS counselling.
Candidates who will secure the NEET cutoff 2021 and fill the online application form will be included in the Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list 2021. Those included in the merit list will be required to download the call letter and report to the Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling venue. The call letter will mention the date, time, and venue of Tamil Nadu NEET 2021 counselling.
Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2021 Eligibility
Domicile:
- To apply for Tamil Nadu MBBS admission 2021 candidates must belong to Tamil Nadu domicile.
- Candidates who have studied Class 6 to 12 from schools situated in Tamil Nadu or partly or completely from other states will be required to submit parent’s birth certificate, ration card, and class 10 or 12 certificate as a proof of domicile.
- Candidates who do not belong to Tamil Nadu domicile but have completed Class 6 to 12 from the state can apply for Tamil Nadu NEET 2021 admission under the open category.
- Other state candidates living in Tamil Nadu can apply for Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS admission under the open category.
Nationality:
- Indian nationals are eligible to apply for Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS admission.
- Non-resident of India (NRI) or Persons of Indian origin (PIO) are eligible for management/NRI quota seats.
Age:
- Candidates 17 years or above as of December 31, 2021 are eligible for Tamil Nadu NEET admission 2021.
Academic qualification:
- Students must pass class 12 with a minimum 50% marks for the general category for Tamil Nadu MBBS 2021 admission. Students from SC/ST/OBC and PH category need 40% and 45% marks respectively in class 12 examination.
- Students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects in class 12.

- Pay the counselling fee of Rs 500 for government colleges and Rs 1000 for self financing colleges via demand draft in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10”
- Download the call letter for Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling from the official site. Candidates will have to enter their application number and DOB to download the counselling call letter.
- The call letter will mention the date and time for counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2021.
- Report to the counselling venue as per the schedule.
- Ensure to carry all the required documents for counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2021.
- During Tamil Nadu NEET 2021 counselling candidates will be asked to submit the choices of courses and colleges.
- Candidates can submit as many choices as they wish.
