BARC Recruitment 2021: BARC is one of DAE’s most important units, with various groups inside it. These categories are subdivided further by their divisions. Medical Group is one of BARC’s groups, and it is divided into two divisions: Medical Division and Radiation Medicine Center. BARC Hospital is a multispecialty hospital with 390 beds in Anushaktinagar, Mumbai – 94. The National Board of Examination (NBE) in New Delhi has granted the hospital accreditation for the DNB (Diplomate of National Board) programme.

BARC Recruitment 2021 Details

The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has issued an online application for the position of Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman/Sub Officer. For this recruitment, there are 20 vacancies to be filled.

Educational Qualifications

For Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum- Fireman 

HSC, 10+2 (Science with Chemistry or equivalent with at least 50% marks) + valid Heavy Vehicle Driver License with at least one year of driving experience + Certificate Course in Fire Fighting Equipment such as Fire Extinguishers, etc. from State Fire Training Centres

For Sub Officer 

HSC (10+2) (Science with Chemistry) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks, as well as completion of the National Fire Service College’s Sub Officers Course. Preference will be given to those who have a valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License.

It is necessary that candidate must have 12 years (5 years as a Leading Fireman) or 15 years (Fireman / Driver Cum Operator) of experience in a recognised Civil / Industrial Fire Service Station. After attaining the required qualification of Sub Officer/B, the candidate must have 2 years of relevant experience out of the above.

Selection process

In 2 parts, the selection process involves a physical endurance test, a driving test, and a written test. Only those who have cleared the Physical Endurance Test will be allowed to take the written exam.
