Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in geological science, geology, Applied Geology, Geo-Exploration, Mineral Exploration, Engineering Geology, Marine Geology, Earth Science and Resource Management, Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies, Petroleum Geosciences, or Geochemistry.
- M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) Geophysicist Group A: M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Tech.) Geophysicist Group B: M.Sc (Applied Geophysics).
- Group A chemists have a master’s degree in chemistry, applied chemistry, or analytical chemistry.
- Master’s degree in geology, applied geology, marine geology, or hydrogeology is required for Scientist B (Hydrogeology).

As of January 1, 2022, the minimum age is 21 and the maximum age is 32.
