Eligibility
- Candidates should have 55℅ marks in post-graduation
- In order to be eligible for JRF, candidates must be under 31 years old.
- To apply for the position of Assistant Professor, there are no age restrictions.
- Candidates from the reserved category receive a 5% reduction in educational requirements.
- Candidates in the reserved category are granted a five-year age exemption.
- Candidates who passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) prior to June 1, 2002 are not obliged to take the UGC NET test.

Steps to Apply
- Step 1: Go to the ugcnet.nta.nic.in website.
- Step 2: Go to the ‘Application form UGC NET Dec 2020 & June 2021 cycles’ link and fill out the form.
- Step 3: Select ‘New Registration’ from the drop-down menu.
- Step 4: Complete the registration process by entering the relevant information.
- Step 5: Complete the application form completely.
- Step 6: Attach a scanned copy of your passport photo (10-200 kb) and signature (4-30 kb). JPEG format should be used for both photographs.
- Step 7: Pay the UGC NET application fee (Rs 1000 for general candidates, Rs 500 for OBC/EWS candidates, and Rs 250 for SC/ST/PWD/Transgender candidates).
- Step 8: Save the form and submit it.
- Step 9: Save the confirmation page on your computer.
