UGC NET 2021 – Details
The UGC NET exam is used to determine individuals’ eligibility for Assistant Professorships, Junior Research Fellowships, or both at Indian universities and colleges. Before 2018, CBSE was in charge of conducting the UGC NET Exam; however, starting in December 2018, National Testing Agency is in charge of conducting the UGC NET Exam. The NTA UGC NET exam is held twice a year in the months of June and December.

UGC NET 2021 Online Application
The online application procedure for the UGC NET June 2021 cycle began on August 10th, 2021, and will be open until September 5th, 2021.
After the deadline for submission, no applications were accepted. There will be four steps to the online application procedure. The following points should be kept in mind by aspirants:
- Candidates will be given the opportunity to revise their applications.
- The photos must be between 10KB and 100KB in size, and the signature must be between 4KB and 30KB in size.
- For the photos, the dimensions should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) and for the signature, 3.5 cm (width) × 1.5 cm (height).
Application Fees for UGC NET 2021
- General/Unreserved: Rs. 1000/-
- OBC-NCL: Rs. 500/-
- SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs. 250/-
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a UGC-approved university or institute.
- Humanities (including languages), Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, and Computer Science all need to pass the qualifying exam.
- Candidates must have received a minimum of 55 percent and a minimum of 50 percent for students in the reserved category.
- Candidates in their last semester of a master’s degree are also eligible to apply.
- In terms of aggregate marks, Ph.D. holders receive a 5% relaxation. A Master’s degree test must be completed by September 19, 1991, for such individuals.
Age limit
- Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) – Not more than 31 years as on 01 October 2021. (This age limit is applicable for the current examination only).
- Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
