A number of urges has been made by candidates nationwide to postpone the NEET 2020 exams as because it is a matter concerning safety issues of students.But the supreme court has dismissed the plea of postponing the NEET 2020 exam,the exam date is finally scheduled to be conducted on 13th September 2020 throughout the nation in pen and paper based mode.
However situations this time are challenging for the authorities as well as the candidates to conduct and appear in the examination respectively. Keeping all safety issues in priority, the Union Government is going to adopt all protocols in this regard. A set of safety guidelines advisory have also been framed which students must follow on the day of exam:
Pre- examination control measures:
- Seat planning is devised in such a way so as to maintain proper distancing while conducting the exam.
- Every exam center will be sanitized properly before exam starts.
- Each center will have extra sanitizers,gloves,spray bottles etc which can be effectively used by candidates and staffs on duty.
- A proper guideline will be provided to the staffs who are assigned designated duties on the day of exam.

Exam day safety measures:
- Candidates have to carry a self declaration of their COVID-19 free health status.
- In order to avoid excessive crowd in the entrance of the test centers,staggered time slots will be maintained for the candidates for reporting in the venue.
- Authorities will allow candidates in batches of 15 boys and 15 girls inside in different registration rooms.
- For document verification, a 3 feet wide table will be kept and the candidate will display the documents to the exam staffs without any physical contact between the two sides.
- Barcode readers will be provided in order to verify the barcode in the admit card.
- 50% of the invigilators will be working inside the examination halls while the rest will monitor movements outside the hall room.
- Authority will not encourage foe thumbprint from candidates.
- Personal water bottles will be allowed inside the exam hall and a candidate has to bring it for himself/herself.
- All candidates are to be checked using the thermal detectors before entering the hall room.
- If any candidate is found to show reading above the critical temperature he/she will be provided to write exam in an isolation room.

Post exam safety protocols:
- Candidates will leave exam hall only one at a time to ensure social distancing throughout the entire time.
- Gloves and masks used by the candidates are to be disposed off in covered dustbins.
- Records of all exam functioning bodies are to be kept for avoiding any sorts of confusion later.
