NEET Exam UpdateNEET which was discussed to be conducted twice in a year will be conducted once in offline mode. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted on 5th May in pen-paper mode. On 21st August, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) made the announcement through a press release.

Along with the Exam schedule, details of Exam pattern and syllabus have also been announced. As per new schedule, the NEET will be conducted on Sunday, 5th May 2019. The registration process for the exam will begin on 1st November 2018 followed by Admit card on 15th April 2019.

Contradicting to the proposal, the Health Ministry wrote that conducting exam twice a year will be an additional pressure for the students.

The decision to continue the existing exam pattern was taken by the Health Ministry. While justifying their decision, the Health Ministry quoted, “The existing exam pattern would be beneficial to students coming from rural areas. It was anticipated that the students from rural areas would lack in computer literacy when compared to students from urban areas. ”
